Sele Media TV is the official digital broadcast platform of Sele Media Africa, created to deliver independent African storytelling, investigative reporting, commentary, and documentary content without the limitations imposed by external social media platforms. Following repeated restrictions, demonetization, and content removals on major platforms such as YouTube and Facebook—including the loss of a 108,000-follower page and monetization for a channel of over 5,000 subscribers—we made a strategic decision to build and control our own media infrastructure. Sele Media TV exists to ensure that African stories, particularly those concerning governance, conflict, justice, and marginalized communities, can be told freely, responsibly, and without algorithmic suppression. Through this platform, we publish: News analysis and commentary Documentary storytelling Field reports and investigative content Interviews and public affairs discussions Cultural and social narratives shaping Africa’s future By hosting our content independently, Sele Media Africa strengthens its commitment to editorial freedom, institutional resilience, and long-term media sovereignty.
